Chocolate Covered Shortbread Caramel Twix Bites

One of my favorite candy bars is a Twix bar.... that is, until they came out with Peanut Butter Twix and Java Twix candy bars! For some reason they don't carry these in every grocery store, so I knew I had to re-create this decadent treat... in bite sized form, of course ;)

Last week I told everyone about a very exciting giveaway in my "3 reasons I am loving this years Valentine's Day... and why you will too!" post... well it is finally here and many of you guessed it right! TWO LUCKY WINNERS WILL RECEIVE:
  • 1 Hamilton Beach Pink Hand Mixer Complete With Storage Case
PRODUCT FEATURES
    • 6 speed hand mixer with 275 watts peak power
    • Wire beaters
    • QuickBurst™ button
    • Bowl Rest™on bottom of mixer
    • Convenient storage case to keep mixer and decorating kit neatly together
  • Bonus Cupcake Decorating Kit
KIT INCLUDES
    •  4 stainless steel decorating tips
    • 8 disposable icing bags
    • 72 paper cupcake liners
    • Icing spatula
    • 24-page color booklet with recipe & design ideas
That's a $44.98 VALUE!

I am so happy to be able to offer this prize pack to two of my readers. This adorable, light weight hand mixer is so powerful underneath it's cute pink exterior, with 275 watts of power. It has six speeds, and an additional QuickBurst™ button that gives additional power. My favorite part of this hand mixer (besides the fact that is it PINK!) is the Bowl Rest™ on the bottom of the mixer. The one thing that annoys me most about my hand mixer is that it drips all over the counter when I put it down to add more ingredients. I try and balance the beaters over the bowl, but is always ends up falling over, and making a mess everywhere... until I got this one! It makes clean up so much easier.

The bonus cupcake decorating kit is such a neat addition. It has a complete booklet with ideas for every holiday, basic recipes, and everything you need to decorate your cupcakes. Best of all it all comes packed in a convenient storage case that keeps the mixer and decorating kit neatly together!

Brownie Sundaes For Two

After making my individual cookie sundaes and my individual apple crisps, I had to recreate the idea in brownie form for all you chocolate lovers out there (and because Valentine's Day is coming up and this would be a perfect way to impress that special someone *wink*wink*). This mini-batch recipe for "Brownies for 2" is quick and simple to put together.

Red Velvet Rose Water Cupcakes

I came up with this recipe while competing on Food Network's Cupcake Wars: Battle of the Champions "Rose Parade" episode in season 2, after my WIN on the series premiere show! The theme of the show was to create cupcakes for the 2011 Tournament of Roses. I knew I wanted to top my cupcake with the iconic red rose in their logo, so I thought it would be perfect to make my fluffy, moist red velvet cupcakes. To really tie the theme into my cupcakes, I added a fragrant touch of rose water into the frosting!

Chocolate Covered Valentine Oreos

Here is a simple and fun way to dress up plain Oreo cookies for Valentine's Day, and anniversary or to show that special someone you care. Guess what inexpensive household item I used to make them in?!

Triple Chocolate Truffle Cupcakes

My Triple Chocolate Truffle Cupcake recipe makes a deep fudgy chocolate cupcake, topped with rich chocolate ganache, and studded with chocolate chips.

Cheesecake Brownie Bars

A perfect way to combine two of my favorite desserts! A buttery, brown sugar graham crust, beneath fudgy brownies, swirled with a cool, creamy cheesecake mixture... sinfully decadent! I prefer these cold, straight from the fridge, so you get a nice cool chocolatey cheesecake texture!

From the company:
"As Far back as I can remember I have always hade a facination with and admiration for the homemaker. Growing up I loved to watch shows like "leave it to beaver" imagining myself as June Cleaver. I loved the way she would keep the household running. I have always looked up to that kind of person. It was admiration for the Homemaker that inspired me to create Sugar Baby Aprons. In this day and age we can sometimes overlook the value and importance of the homemaker. Sugar Baby Aprons was created to help us remember just how important that person is. At Sugar Baby Aprons we want to put the Fun back in cooking. We want to put the sparkle into housekeeping, the Flare into entertaining and of course.... The Sexy back into the housewife!!"

"I printed out your cute paper doll set for my daughter. She is wearing the darling cherry dress. Because she was printed on regular printer paper, I taped a bamboo stick to the back of it and made it into a puppet" -Lisa
