I am obsessed with mirrored furniture, but it is sooo expensive, so I wanted to share all my hacks for creating it at home with old or inexpensive furniture, and just a few supplies, to transform it into super impressive, expensive looking pieces, with crystal knobs.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I got these nightstands like 10 years ago (https://amzn.to/2xLQxmK), they're just cheap, plain, ugly brown nightstands that totally don't match anything in my home. If you know me, you know these are definitely not my aesthetic. So we're giving them a glam makeover and totally transforming them to match my room.

I found similar ones on amazon for about $165 each- waaaay too expensive, so I made my own and I think they turned out just as nice!

So we start with spray painting the nightstands. This spray paint worked great: https://amzn.to/2QaM5Xk

Just spray the areas that are not going to be covered with mirror.

I bought sheets of mirror, cut to size (Lowes sells mirror that they will cut to any size, in store at the glass cutting station.

Then, I had my cut mirror edges polished at a glass/mirror shop. You can try Fine sandpaper for the edges, but I would recommend have a professional do it)

I used Mirror Adhesive + Culk Gun to attach the mirror: https://amzn.to/2otCtKG + https://amzn.to/2orvjXa. Just make sure not to get too close to the edges, so the glue doesn't squeeze out of the sides.

Make sure to use clamps (https://amzn.to/2S4IavH), weights or something heavy, so the mirror doesn't lift up or shift as the glue dries. I let them dry 24-48hrs in between each side, so I did the tops one day, the sides on another day and then the fronts on another day.

Once the mirror glue has fully set, bring them in and add the finishing touches! I cleaned the mirrors with windex and glued on some pretty knobs using a measuring tape to mark where I wanted them. (Crystal Knobs: https://amzn.to/2PSrruOE600 glue: https://amzn.to/2Ncc4iw)

Once the knobs are glued and set, you can style them in your room! How amazing did these turn out? I think they look so glam and fancy and professional and pair perfectly with my DIY headboard with the crystal buttons. I am so happy with how they turned out!
