If you've never tapped a watermelon keg, you have got to try this ultimate summer hack, using this cool Keg tapping kit I found on Amazon!

Not only is this a creative way to serve delicious watermelon juice, but it also adds a fun twist that will make your kids want to drink more and stay hydrated all summer long. Trust me; you don't want to miss this!

The watermelon juice keg is perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings, labor day or memorial day BBQs or any outdoor event!

Using a keg tapping kit to serve watermelon juice will make you the coolest mom in the neighborhood!
Did you know that watermelon is made up of about 92% water? It's a natural hydration booster!

To get your watermelon to stand up, you have to slice a little bit off of the bottom. To level your melon, use a large knife to slice away 1/3 of an inch of rind at the bottom of the watermelon, making sure not to cut into the fruit, so it doesn't leak.

Next, slice off the top 1/4 of the watermelon, so you can scoop out the insides, and create a lid. Set it aside for later.

Hollow out the inside of the watermelon, using a large spoon, removing the flesh and seeds. Leave about 2 inches of fruit at the bottom, so the watermelon doesn't leak.

Insert the tap, using the instructions from the Keg tapping kit, making sure not to twist too hard, so you don't crack the watermelon.

This is how it looks from the inside:

Place the keg on the edge of a table or on a cake plate so guests can easily fill their cups.

Blend the watermelon flesh, lime and agave in a blender until smooth.

Pour the pureed watermelon into a fine-mesh sieve over a large bowl to strain out the seeds, if needed.

Pour the puree back into the hollow watermelon keg. Pour in water until it is 2/3 full (and desired amount of  liquor if serving to adults).

Add Ice up to the top. Replace lid.

Fill it with anything from water or lemonade, to my watermelon juice, or even a watermelon margarita or mojito if you're serving it to adults!

Watermelon juice is naturally sweet and incredibly refreshing, making it a kid-friendly drink that's much healthier than sugary sodas or artificially flavored beverages.

By making your own watermelon juice, you avoid the added sugars found in store-bought drinks, promoting a healthier lifestyle for your kids.

Imagine the joy on your kids' faces when they see a watermelon turned into a juice keg! Not only does it look super cool, but it's also an excellent way to get your children excited about drinking more fluids.
