Marshmallow Valentine Teddy Pops

Made out of marshmallows, fruit chew candy and some sprinkles for decorating, these cute little teddies are so easy to make and so much fun!

Marshmallow Valentine Teddy Pops

You will need
  • lollipop stick
  • Regular size marshmallows and mini marshmallows
  • heart confetti sprinkles
  • black edible marker (or black food coloring and a fine tip paintbrush/toothpick)
  • Fruit chew candy (I used "Starburst")
  • Melted white chocolate chips or candy melts

Directions

Push the lollipop stick all the way through the flat bottom of the first marshmallow and out the top, leaving an inch of stick above the top of the marshmallow. Take the second marshmallow and flip it on its side with the flat side facing forward. Push it through the stick on top of the first marshmallow, without piercing the stick through the top.

Using the melted white chocolate as "glue", attach the mini marshmallows, flat side facing forward, to make ears, arms, and legs. Smash the last mini marshmallow with the flat ends between your thumb and index finger until flat, and attach it to the bottom of the face to form a snout.

Glue the heart sprinkles on the ears, feet, and snout. With the edible marker, draw on eyes and a smile.

They are adorable just like this, but I wanted to make them extra special for Valentine's Day so I made some giant conversation hearts. For the hearts, simply microwave a "Starburst" candy for 5-10 seconds until pliable, but not melted. Flatten them out with your hand, and with scissors or a cookie cutter, cut out a heart shape about 1 1/4" wide.

Attach them to the bellies with some melted chocolate.

To personalize your pops with giant conversation hearts, take your edible marker and write your own Valentine's Day message! Place a clear sandwich bag over the teddies and tie ribbon around the stick to seal. Perfect for giving away as Valentine's. Even attach a name tag to the ribbon and personalize your Valentine's!

You can even create a display for your pops. To create a display that your pops can stand upright in, take a block of Styrofoam and wrap it in festive wrapping paper or tissue paper. Push the bottom of each stick into the styrofoam for guests to easily grab and enjoy.
