Candy coated cookie truffle spiders!

I made these spooky spiders while making my truffle rats. They are basically made the same way except I coated the cookies & cream truffle mixture in chocolate for the spiders, while I coated the rats in cookie crumbs, for different textural effects. I tried using different sprinkles for the eyes of the spider than I did for the rats, but either way works fine. Try them both for a truly spooky Halloween dessert spread, and let me know how they turned out!

Spider Truffles
You will need
- 1 (16 ounce) package Oreo Cookies
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
- dark chocolate or candy melts
- wax paper
- red and white jimmies, confetti sprinkles or both (fangs and eyes)
- black licorice lace (legs)
Directions
Finely crush package of whole Oreo cookies in food processor, or by hand using a plastic sandwich bag and a rolling pin. You can blend them together with a fork or spoon, or even get the kids involved and have them squish the mixture together by hand! Once combine, roll the cookie/cream cheese mixture into about 2" balls. Using your fingers, form balls into the shape and size of a strawberry and form a small head by gently creating an indentation with your finger. Make sure the truffle is fully intact so the head doesn't fall off during dipping. This will be the body of your spider.
