Take an ordinary starter and put a fun, festive twist on it by serving your bread and biscuits this Holiday season with cinnamon honey butter instead of regular butter! It is so simple to whip together and gives a warm winter touch to a traditional dinner item. Perfect for Thanksgiving biscuits or at Christmas dinner!
This is seriously the easiest recipe to make, I wouldn't even call it a recipe. You just add some cinnamon and honey to softened butter or margarine and stir it all up until well blended.
You can simply put it in a bowl, wrap it up into a log, refrigerate it to firm up and then slice it, or even put it in a piping bag with a pretty tip and pipe individual serving fancy buttery pads.
I piped each little butter pad onto a square of wax paper for easy serving.
Yield: 1/2 cup butter (recipes easily doubles or halves)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened (may also use margarine)
- 3-4 tablespoons honey
- 1/2-1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
With an electric mixer or by hand, beat butter, honey and cinnamon together until well combine. Place in a bowl for serving, spoon onto plastic wrap and roll into a log for slicing, or pipe individual butter pads onto parchment paper. Refrigerate to firm up if desired. Serve with warm bread, biscuits or muffins.
