3-Minute Single Serving Microwave Brownie (egg-free, dairy-free, delicious)

Bake your brownie and eat it too by indulging in moderation with a single serving brownie! Late night chocolate cravings are bound to sneak up on you, but instead of making a whole pan of brownies, this recipe makes just one moist chocolate fudge brownie that's ready in only 3 minutes! This recipe uses everyday household ingredients to whip up an individual brownie baked in the microwave in a few minutes. The best part is that the preparation is almost as easy as the cleanup so you can throw it together, enjoy and clean up within minutes ;)

They are so simple to make and the recipe is dangerously easy to memorize... 4T of flour and sugar, 2T of cocoa, oil and water, a little salt and vanilla for flavor and that's it! Make it right in the dish you stir t in, or pour into a ramekin or large coffee mug.

I like to microwave at 50% power so you don't scorch it. I have found this makes my microwave recipes a lot less "rubbery" and gets you a much nicer consistency.

Eat it right out of the ramekin or remove it to serve on a pate. Enjoy!

3-Minute Single Serving Microwave Brownie
Please note that all microwaves vary, and depending on the wattage of your microwave, your cake might take shorter or longer to cook, so keep an eye on it!

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil OR melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons water OR milk
  • splash of vanilla
  • 2-3 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chip, nuts, or mix-in of your choice, optional

Directions
Stir flour, sugar, cocoa and salt with a fork, in a microwave safe 8oz ramekin, bowl or mug. Mix the rest of the ingredients in, just until smooth.

Microwave on 50% power for 1 1/2 minutes. Repeat process by microwaving for an additional 30 seconds at 50% power if needed, until top has just start to set. Serve warm.

I like mine when there is a little bit of gooey "molten chocolate sauce" on top, so just cook it depending on how dry or wet you want it.
