Celebrate Independence Day with these patriotic, no-bake cookies, inspired by our nation's most famous bird. I created these cookies for the "Treat of the month" in Family Fun magazine's June/July issue. They are so simple and fun to make and are sure to be a hit at any 4th of July party!

July 4th Patriotic Regal Eagle Cookies
Ingredients
Ingredients
- Oval or circular shaped cookie (I used Pepperidge Farm Milanos)
- White or vanilla frosting (store bought or homemade)
- Sweetened shredded coconut
- cashews
- sliced almonds
- mini chocolate chips
Directions
Spread white frosting on each cookie. Fill a plate with shredded coconut and press the cookie into it to coat it. Use more frosting to adhere a cashew beak, a mini chocolate chip eye, and almond slice feathers. Enjoy!
