Chocolate Play Dough

Here is a really simple and fun way to "play with your food". I simply added some cocoa powder to a play dough recipe, for a really yummy smelling and different type of play dough for kids, perfect for back to school!

This play dough is really fun to put out with candles, sprinkles and plates, so children can get creative and make all kinds of chocolatey "baked goods".

Chocolate Play Dough

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4-1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Mix together flour, cocoa salt and cream of tartar. Add water and oil. Stir mixture in a skillet or hot plate over low heat until a dough forms. Remove from heat, wrap in plastic wrap and let cool. Play, create and have fun!

Note: While the recipe is technically edible, it is not meant to be consumed.

This dough comes together in just minutes and is a really unique alternative to regular play dough.
