🎄 How to Get FREE Custom Elf on the Shelf Coloring Pages of Your Child from their elf

(Using ChatGPT — no design skills needed!)

You can create a custom coloring page featuring your child and the Elf on the Shelf, plus a sweet note from the elf, all for free using ChatGPT.

What You’ll Need

  • A clear photo of your kids or family (phone photo is perfect)

  • ChatGPT with image upload enabled

  • Your elf’s name + your kids’ names

  • A printer (or print at a store like Kinko's or Staples)

1. Open ChatGPT

2. Upload a photo of your kids (or family)

3. Copy & paste one of the prompts below into ChatGPT after uploading the photo (feel free to edit to make it custom to what you want!):
Turn this photo into a clean black-and-white coloring page. Keep the faces recognizable. Include a realistic "Elf on the Shelf" interacting with the scene. Use simple line art with smooth, bold outlines only. No shading, no gray, no color. The style should be fun, wholesome, and easy for kids to color. Christmas-themed background with elements like snow, trees, lights, presents, or a cozy holiday setting. The final image should be high-resolution, white background, and formatted as an 8.5 x 11 inch vertical page, ready to print.

4. Once ChatGPT generates the image:

  • Download it

  • Print on regular paper or cardstock

  • Put out with your elf for the kids to find in the morning

BONUS: Get a Cute Elf Note to Print or Handwrite

After the coloring page is done, copy & paste =this prompt and edit accordingly:

Write a short, playful, cute note to my child(ren), {name}, signed from {elf's name} the Elf. Encourage good behavior, and mention that they worked hard at the North Pole making these coloring pages and can't wait to see how they turn out!

Enjoy the mind-blown holiday magic the next morning 🎄✨
