The best part? You don’t need any fancy tools or crafting skills. If you can handle a hot glue gun and some cellophane, you can create giant lollipops that look like they came straight from a candy shop display.

These DIY giant lollipops are one of the easiest ways to add a bold, playful element to any holiday display. Kids love them, adults love them, and they make any Candy Land Christmas setup instantly Instagram-worthy. Plus, they cost just a fraction of what a professional prop would.

Materials You’ll Need

  • 2 large clear plastic bowls in any color

  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

  • White broom stick (or any stick to use as the lollipop stick)

  • Clear cellophane

  • Zip ties

  • Optional: ribbon or bow for extra flair

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Glue the Bowls Together

Take your two large bowls and stack them so the open sides face each other. Use a hot glue gun to secure them together. The rounded sides form the “candy” portion of your lollipop. Make sure the glue dries completely before moving to the next step.

2. Attach the Stick

Take a white broom stick and attach it to the bottom of the bowl stack using hot glue. This becomes your lollipop stick. Hold it in place until it’s secure and stable.

3. Wrap in Cellophane

Lay out a sheet of clear cellophane large enough to cover your lollipop. Wrap it around the candy portion, then twist and secure the base with a zip tie.

4. Add Ribbon or a Bow

For a finishing touch, slide a ribbon or bow over the zip tie to give it a polished, festive look. You can also use curling ribbon for extra whimsy.

5. Display

Lean your giant lollipop against a wall, prop it on a porch, or line a walkway with a few to create a magical Candy Land vibe. Because it’s lightweight, it’s easy to move and store for next year.
