Adorable pink frosted cookies disguised as donuts!
Donut Cookie PopsYou will need
- Lollipop Sticks
- Peanut Butter Cookie Dough (or sugar cookie dough),
- 1 cup powdered Sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk or water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pink Food Coloring
- Rainbow Jimmies
Directions
Prepare cookie dough as directed (I used peanut butter cookies to give the "donut" an authentic look. Spoon cookie dough onto cookie sheet and form into little balls, pushing a lollipop Stick into the dough about 1/4 inch. (You will be cutting out the centers, so make sure you don't push the stick too far into the dough.) Bake in pre-heated oven as directed.
Immediately punch out centers of each cookie with a small round cookie cutter or round object in your kitchen like the twist top of a soda bottle. Let cookies cool.
Prepare icing, by mixing together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and a little bit of pink food coloring, until desired color is reached. Use a knife or paint brush and apply icing to tops of cooled cookies. Sprinkle on rainbow jimmies and let dry.
"Mmm... Donuts!"

You can individually wrap your pops in clear plastic bags for a party favor, or you can create a display for your pops. To create a display that your pops can stand upright in, take a block of Styrofoam and wrap it in festive wrapping paper or tissue paper. Push the bottom of each stick into the styrofoam for guests to easily grab and enjoy.
