These sweet little spring chicks are so cute and super simple to makes. They are made out of marshmallows and sprinkles making them a perfect Easter, spring or baby shower treat!
Spring Chick Marshmallow Pops
You will need
- Lollipop sticks
- Marshmallows
- Water
- Yellow sugar sprinkles
- Mulit color heart confetti sprinkles
- Tootsie roll or any dark candy for eyes
Directions
Cut 1 marshmallow in half width wise. Cut into one of the marshmallow halves so it fits on the rounded top of the second marshmallow piece. Push the lollipop stick through the 2 marshmallows (make sure not to poke it all the way through).
Dip the marshmallows in a bowl of water. Shake off any excess water and roll in yellow sugar sprinkles until completely covered.
Using the orange heart confetti sprinkles, create a beak by sticking 2 hearts (rounded side facing down) into the bottom of the top marshmallow, and the feet by sticking 1 heart (rounded side facing out) into each side of the very bottom of the marshmallow pop (if needed, use melted chocolate or frosting if the hearts are not sticking). Use a tootsie roll, black licorice, or any dark colored candy for the eyes.
Attach 2 hearts with their points connecting in the center, for a bow tie. Let dry before eating.
You can individually wrap your pops in clear plastic bags for a party favor, or you can create a display for your pops. To create a display that your pops can stand upright in, take a block of Styrofoam and wrap it in festive wrapping paper or tissue paper. Push the bottom of each stick into the styrofoam for guests to easily grab and enjoy. Even tie a custom tag to the stick to use as a personalized gift or place setting!
You can even skip the sticks and use them as cute little cupcake toppers!
