{VIDEO} DIY Easy Personalized Sun Hat Under $5 | Cheap No-Sew "Embroidered" Summer Straw Hat

Make a custom DIY Personalized Sun Hat, that says whatever you want, for Under $5!

I've seen these custom embroidered sun hats all over, but they can be super expensive, even though they're like soooo easy make yourself at home. So I'm going to show you how to DIY your own for like 5 bucks, so you can make them say anything you want.

These are perfect if you want to make a bunch of them for a bachelorette party, or you can make it as gift with someone's name, or you can do a little saying, which seem to be really popular. Today I'm writing "Shine On", by literally just gluing sequin trim onto a dollar store sun hat and it is really that simple.

Just write your text on the brim, use hot glue to secure your sequin trim and that's pretty much it!

You can even add decorative patches or colored trim to really get creative!

You can put anything you want on your hat, like "rosè all day", "Do not disturb", "just married"... anything you want to achieve the faux embroidered look, with this no-sew method!

If you guys give this a try, make sure to go follow me on social media @LindsayAnnLux and tag me in a picture, so I can go like all of your recreations, or share this video with somebody who you know would love this project!

DIY Personalized Sun Hat

You will need:
  • sun hat (I got mine at the 99c store)
  • pencil
  • black sequin trim or ribbon
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun or craft glue

Directions:
Write the name or phrase you want on the hat, in cursive. In small sections glue the sequin trim in place, forming the words. Cross the “t’s” and dot “i’s”, if needed. Use hot glue to attach the trim/ribbon around the crown of the hat. Glue on any optional patches or decorations.
